"Making a difference in peoples lives." Perhaps no statement more clearly articulates the true mission of WR Starkey Mortgage. So much so, that Mr. Starkey created a company foundation to facilitate giving to the community. The foundation adds value to the communities, creates teamwork among employees and creates a sense of pride from employees working for a company that cares for the needs of others. The foundation is not merely a source to provide money to people and /or organizations, but for our employees to provide services supporting charitable causes.

Building Homes in Guatemala

Becky and Michael Pond in Guatemala with the family they helped to build a home for. Six kids and a mother live in this 10 x 18 new home with no running water or electricity. This home was a drastic improvement over the corn hull and tarp home they lived in before. Becky and Michael went on the mission trip with their church.

Knights of Heroes Golf Tournament

Trina Nevrla in the Colorado branch helped with a golf tournament benefiting the Knights of Heroes. This is a charity that helps boys from ages 8 - 16. They provide a week long camp experience for boys that have lost their fathers in war casualty. The camp is designed to give the boys a chance to build friendships and provides mentoring relationships.
